Gostava de escrever um poema,
quando me deitei as palavras começaram a surgir.
Sentia-me imortal.
Mas não sabia se devia rimar, e que métrica ou estrutura
seguir.
Comecei a ficar nervoso
perdi o somo
entornei o chá no chão
masturbei-me
e risquei tudo o que tinha escrito.
Adormeci com os óculos e sonhei com menos névoa.
Fui à procura de poesia
era isso que vos queria oferecer,
mas acabei num karaoke.
BIO
Horácio Frutuoso (1991) vive e trabalha entre Lisboa e o Porto, é licenciado em Artes Plásticas – Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, instituição que lhe atribuiu o prémio aquisição de Artes Plásticas 2012/2013.
Foi co-autor do projecto artístico Expedição, e fez parte ou participou noutros projectos como a Painel, Sintoma, ou de âmbito editorial colaborando com outras estruturas artísticas como o Teatro Praga por exemplo.
Na produção do seu trabalho recorre a diferentes meios, estruturando a sua prática a partir do pensamento e organização de uma pintura, onde cruza com a poesia visual, imagens digitais, e a instalação-performance.
Expõe regularmente desde 2010 tendo apresentado o seu trabalho em diferentes exposições e projectos, destacando-se os seguintes: “H” Balcony Gallery, Lisboa 2018; “Abençoado Desalinho” solo project SP-ARTE 2018, curadoria Luiza Teixeira de Freitas; “Género na Arte: Corpo, Sexualidade, Identidade, Resistência” Museu Nacional Arte Contemporânea – Museu do Chiado, Lisboa 2017; “Them or Us” com curadoria de Paulo Mendes, Galeria Municipal – Porto 2017; “O que eu sou” com curadoria de Inês Grosso e Luiza Teixeira de Freitas, MAAT – Lisboa 2017; “White Horse”, Bregas – Lisboa 2016.

I would like to write a poem,
when i lied down the words began to appear.
I felt immortal.
But i did not know if i should rhyme, and what metric or structure to follow.
I started to get nervous
lost sleep
spilled tea on the floor
masturbated
and scratched everything i had written.
I fell asleep with my glasses on and dreamed with less fog.
I went looking for poetry
that is what i wanted to offer you,
but i ended up in a karaoke.
BIO
Horácio Frutuoso (1991) lives and works between Lisbon and Oporto, where he graduated in Painting from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, institution that awarded him the acquisition of Fine Arts 2012/2013.
He co-authored the Expedição art project, and participated in other projects such as Painel and Sintoma, or, on an editorial scope, collaborating with other artistic structures such as the Praga Theater company, for example.
In the production of his work he uses different media, structuring his practice from the thought and organization of a painting, which he crosses with visual poetry, digital images, and installation-performance.
He has been exhibiting regularly since 2010 and has presented his work in different exhibitions and projects, highlights of which are the following: “H” Balcony Gallery, Lisbon 2018; “Abençoado Desalinho” solo project SP-ARTE 2018, curator Luiza Teixeira de Freitas; “Gender in Art: Body, Sexuality, Identity, Resistance” National Museum of Contemporary Art – Chiado Museum, Lisbon 2017; “Them or Us” curated by Paulo Mendes, Municipal Gallery – Porto 2017; “What I am” curated by Inês Grosso and Luiza Teixeira de Freitas, MAAT – Lisbon 2017; “White Horse”, Bregas – Lisbon 2016.
